On the 12th June, 6 Berkeley Homes East Thames employees began their journey to Scotland to conquer the mighty Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. They were part of the 100 trekkers that were taking part in this 2-day event raising money for Demelza, their Designated Charity.
Upon reaching Scotland the trekkers spent their first night in the nearby town of Fort William for a hearty dinner and a briefing on the arduous trek that they would face the following day. The 16km trek should take the participants roughly four hours, making their way through tough terrain, and soon leaving the lowlands behind them.
After reaching the summit there was time to take in the stunning views and eat lunch before they began their descent to enjoy a well-deserved celebratory dinner.
