Only 18% of disabled people take part in sport, compared to 39% non-disabled people. 70% of the non-active disabled people claim they would like the opportunity to participate in sporting activities if given the chance. 60% cite a lack of available opportunities as the main barrier to participation.

The Lord's Taverners is one of the UK's leading sports charities. They give young people, particularly those with special needs, a chance to engage in sport.
