Mount Kilimanjaro thumb

Natasha Burbidge of Berkeley Homes Oxford and Chiltern will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on 5th September 2016, for Helen & Douglas House. She is hoping to raise £3,800.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the largest free standing mountains in the world. Natasha plans to take four days to reach the summit and a further day to return to base camp, travelling through the diverse eco-system of Kilimanjaro. She will be trekking a lesser known route called Machame, which takes participants through the town of Moshi, as well as rainforests, moorlands, alpine desert and snow.

She began her training for the monumental task by joining the Berkeley Homes Oxford Three Peaks team on training days, and will continue her training into 2016.

"I've never ventured into anything crazy like this. I've never even camped, but before I had a chance to talk myself out of it, I put my name down. To be able to raise money for such an incredible, life-changing charity means a lot to me" said Natasha.
