The trek aimed to raise money for the North London Hospice. There were 5 trekkers, all from the St James Finchley office. These brave trekkers endured 8 hours per day of walking over some of the toughest terrain in the world, lived and slept in very basic conditions (with no running water or toilet facilities) and used local Berbers as tour guides. Although the trek is rated moderately challenging, the heat and basic camping environment was a test for our trekkers. The temperatures ranged from up to 40C during the day to around 0C at night. The team of 5 St James colleagues took this and more in their stride, and raised an amazing £13,000 for the North London Hospice.
