The North London Hospice is currently supporting 1,400 patients and their families. They offer patients and carers a range of services tailored to their needs, including complementary therapies and physiotherapy.
One of their patients is 27 year old Tim. Four years ago he was a perfectly healthy young man. He graduated and decided to take a year out. He suffered a seizure while travelling and was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. Medically, there is nothing that can be done.
However, Tim is an avid Spurs supporter. We managed to get him two box tickets last November. This meant that he and his Dad could spend some quality time together, watch a sport they love and have a break from continuously thinking about the future. They are the designated charity of St James London North.
In October 2014, some of the St James staff took part in a trek across the Sahara in order to raise money for The North London Hospice, their designated charity and raised £6,000. This will help The North London Hospice continue their fantastic work with those that need it most.
