We're delighted to share the Berkeley Foundation Annual Review 2026, showcasing the difference we can make when we come together with a shared purpose.
The theme of this year's review, Working together for stronger communities, reflects the partnerships at the heart of the Foundation’s work. Over the past year, the Berkeley Foundation and our charity partners reached more than 15,000 people, helping to prevent homelessness, create job opportunities, build skills and improve health and wellbeing.
Together, we invested £3.3 million in charities supporting young people and their communities. Berkeley colleagues have continued to play a vital role through fundraising, volunteering and sharing their skills. This year, 59% of Berkeley colleagues got involved with our work, raising £660,000 and contributing almost 2,000 volunteering hours.
The review highlights powerful stories from young people whose lives have been transformed through our partnerships. You can read about Matthew, who attends Lord’s Taverners disability cricket sessions (p27). When he’s playing cricket Matthew feels understood, part of a community, and proud to be a role model for younger players.
Shaneice took part in the Youth Leadership Programme delivered by Groundwork London (p31). She says the programme has had a major impact on her confidence, and she now feels more positive about future opportunities.
The year saw the renewal of our strategic partnership with New Horizon Youth Centre, supporting their vital work with young people experiencing homelessness in London. We also launched Cohort 4 of our Resilience Fund, investing in new partnerships with five youth leadership charities looking to build their organisational resilience.
Reflecting on the year, Piers Clanford, Chair of Berkeley Foundation, said:
"If there's one theme that stands out from this year, it's that we are stronger when we work together. I'm looking forward to deepening our collaborations with existing and new partners, and to seeing what more we can achieve in our communities in the year ahead."
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this year's achievements – from our brilliant charity partners, to Berkeley colleagues, supporters and volunteers. We hope you enjoy reading this year’s review and celebrating the difference we’ve made together.
