Berkeley Capital is celebrating an extraordinary achievement with long standing charity partner Demelza children’s hospice, marking an incredible £1 million raised since the partnership began in 2012.
In addition, Berkeley Capital has also recently confirmed it will renew its partnership with Demelza for another three years, further enabling both organisations to deepen their impact.
The partnership is a shining example of how businesses and charities can work side by side, building a relationship grounded in trust, shared values and a genuine passion for making a difference to children with life limiting conditions and their families.
Berkeley colleagues have contributed not only through fundraising but also through practical volunteering, whether lending a hand in Demelza’s warehouses or helping to maintain and transform the charity’s gardens. Their efforts have helped create peaceful outdoor spaces where children and families can find comfort and respite.
Berkeley Foundation match funds volunteering by Berkeley colleagues, so every hour volunteered also generates a financial contribution to Demelza.
Demelza’s Deputy CEO, Hayley Richardson, said:
“It’s incredible to look back on the 14 years that Berkeley Capital has been supporting Demelza. Our corporate supporters are such an important part of our story, and we are so grateful that the team at Berkeley has been on board with us for so long.
“Raising more than £1million for Demelza is an incredible achievement and one we really want to celebrate.
“We would like to thank customers and clients of Berkeley Capital who regularly support their fundraising events as well as the staff who donate regularly via payroll giving. It’s a huge commitment for Berkeley to stay with us until 2029 and we are delighted they will be supporting us for the years to come.”
Berkeley Capital’s Foundation Champion, Richard Allotey, added:
“We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Demelza. Reaching the milestone of £1 million raised reflects just how strongly Berkeley colleagues feel about supporting its vital work. Extending our partnership until 2029 means we can continue helping Demelza be there for families in our local community when they need it most.”
The Berkeley Foundation would like to thank everyone who has supported the partnership over the years, contributing to an incredible collective impact.
