On Thursday 11 July, 20 Berkeley St Edwards staff started their cycle ride from London to Paris to raise money for their three chosen charities; Momentum, The Connection and READY.
The cyclists set off from Greenwich Observatory and cycled 280 miles to their destination in France. The route saw the team pass through Kent via Rochester and Canterbury, before boarding a ferry at Dover. Once in France they continued their journey through scenic villages and Somme Valley. After completing 4 demanding days of cycling, the staff's efforts were rewarded with their venture concluding in Paris on Bastille Day, France's national day which boasted vast celebrations throughout the city.
Sophie Harrison, organiser and participant stated; "We were so pleased to raise money for three charities really close to our hearts; and we had an absolute blast doing it. France was beautiful and it was a great feeling to roll into Paris as one big team."
