Home-Start London
Home-Start London is a consortium made up of 14 Home-Start schemes from across London reaching as far as Barnet in the north to Sutton in the south and Redbridge in the east to Hillingdon in the west.
Home-Start's trade mark early intervention model includes training and placing home visiting volunteers with families from all walks of life who are finding it difficult to cope. By providing non-judgemental practical and emotional support Home-Start helps parents find ways to manage and sort out their difficulties before they become more serious.
In 2017, 862 London volunteers made a big difference to 2,328 families and 4,607 children. Invaluable support and friendship helped these Home-Start families build better futures for themselves and their children.
Together the 14 consortium members create a larger footprint than they would individually to have a greater impact across London. Home-Start London helps with the delivery of much needed services to reach even more vulnerable families across the capital, particularly those living in deprived areas.
Home-Start London is the Designated Charity for Berkeley Homes (North East London). Berkeley Homes (NEL) raises money for the charity through various events, and is also supporting Home-Start with volunteering by their staff members.
