Mencap’s vision is to make the UK the best place in the world for people with a learning disability to lead happy and healthy lives.
Mencap is the UK’s leading charity for people with a learning disability, their families and carers. Mencap provide support and advice services for the 1.5 million people with a learning disability in the UK - including employment, direct care, advocacy, housing and leisure.
Mencap is the Designated Charity for Berkeley St Joseph and they have been working together since October 2021. Staff members from across Berkeley St Joseph kicked off the partnership by participating in ‘Miles for Mencap’ - a collective goal of completing 500 miles across the three Berkeley offices. Over the next three years, colleagues will be participate in a variety of fundraising and engagement activities to raise vital funds and awareness of learning disability.
As well as working with the national charity, Mencap Network Partners in Ealing, Birmingham and Oxford will be heavily involved in the partnership to increase opportunities available to people with a learning disability in their communities.
